This is one of the challenges I faced because 90% of the high-paying remote jobs I came across only hire within the US region. In addition, you need to have work authorization to apply for those jobs.

Small motivational story of me
I failed at my first remote DevOps engineer job I found in Topcoder. I gave my best, but the interviewer rejected me. However, three days later, the Technical Architect of that project found my resume and called me for another interview round.
I went for the interview, and as always, I did my best. Next, I got an email from Topcoder that I got the offer. I was shocked when I saw my offer; the rest is history.
Networking is another key factor when finding remote jobs.
If you are not good at networking, you cannot find a remote job. You cannot learn networking just by reading or watching articles. You have to practice networking every day, and it can never be a part of your daily routine. Networking is not just about talking, but it’s also about listening.
Also, networking is not only with outsiders. You have to build a good relationship with your managers. You never know when they will bring you unexpected opportunities. In my career, I am lucky enough to find kind Managers and Directors who supported me throughout my career.
